Offering fine jewellery services to Euroa and surrounds since 2016
Welcome to Catherine the Jeweller.
Catherine has been working in the jewellery industry since 2001, starting out in a small trade only workshop in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. She completed her apprenticeship there and then worked in a larger retail jewellery workshop.
Catherine had some time away from the bench to have 3 babies (not all at the same time! ) doing small jobs at home as motherhood permitted.
Once Catherine’s youngest son went off to school she did more and more work from home and started running a market stall at the Euroa Farmer’s Market.
The opportunity arose for Catherine to move out of her shed and into her little hideaway down Binney Street in 2018 and that's where you can find her today. The workshop is fully equipped with all the tools she needs (and most of the ones she wants! ) The retail half of shop has a small selection of handmade items, items from other local artists and items from other Australian businesses. What she doesn't have on hand (like a lot of gold, fancy chains, diamonds etc) she can quickly get in with her strong connections to industry suppliers.
Catherine specialises is repairs (including chain repairs, resizing and replacing missing stones), restoration work and handmaking both traditional and rustic style fine jewellery.
Catherine appreciates the sentimentality that can be attached to jewellery and is always happy to use supplied stones and gold (within reason!). She works hard to accommodate budget and design and sentimental requirements.
Feel free to pop in with small repairs or queries during open hours. If you have several items or want something new designed it would be best to make an appointment so you can have Catherine’s undivided attention.
